I don't think people are arguing that the vaccine keeps you from getting it
but it's statistically proven that your chances of ending up in the ICU or dead are infinitesimal. And if we're talking observed data, my wife works at the hospital in Giles, Parents work at the hospital in Blacksburg, and brother works at the one in Radford. They can confirm that nearly all those in the hospital at each one of these hospitals are unvaxed. Those that are vaxed and end up there, have nearly all gone home. The lone exception was an older lady on Chemo and a 98 year old.
Compare that to how many have died FROM the vaccine, and I like my odds.
I find it hard to believe that the vaccine makes it easier to catch Omicron. I believe common sense tells us that Omicron is so far mutated that the current vaccine doesn't prevent it (since it was designed to stop the original Coronovirus) but we are truly blessed that it has helped with easing symptoms of ALL versions of Covid.
