I'm most impressed that you were able to deliver all of that food...


to the shelter and not come home with a new adopted pet.

My son collected food and toys for his 7th or 8th birthday, and we took it to the shelter. "Hey, while you're here, would you like to walk one of the dogs?" An hour later we had adopted a third dog. She was a pitiful 10+ year old girl that was blind and had been in the shelter for "a long time."

Props to your daughter for doing that.
