not a good person is pretty weak. "Too many players have had issues". You're allowing the most vocal critics to make themselves seem larger than they really are. How many players DIDN'T have issues? Never mind that in many of the situations we've only ever heard one side of the story. Trevon Hill claiming he didn't know why he was kicked off the team for example was complete nonsense. The mistake there was letting him stay on the team for as long as he did. And that's just one instance that we know a little more than what the player himself said. I think the reality is Fuente actually is a good person and the majority of the players liked him and liked playing for him. I think his biggest problem there was he started out strict and that didn't sit well with some of the holdovers. Those guys left the program and made a point to torch him on the way out and so he changed his approach and went too far to the opposite. In hindsight he should have just stuck with being strict. Sure some players would bristle at it and leave and run their mouths on Twitter but the strictness would have most likely led to more toughness on the field and at the very least would have been consistent.

As far as HH you're kind of sending mixed messages. Up above you talked about how a "real leader" would show confidence in him and put him back in the game. But here you acknowledge that it was more than just him being "rattled". And in both cases you ding Fuente for not doing the right thing. I have no idea what truly happened against Clemson. If HH was concussed or having convulsions I wouldn't pin that on Fuente to know. He's not looking at the bench or doing examinations of guys who come off hurt. That would be on the medical staff to determine and then relay that information to the coach. But again without knowing the whole situation, what happened before, during, and after, I'm hesitant to point fingers unlike many people here.
