These aren't great in conference teams we lost to either

This team had much higher expectations and Boots leaving really put a cramp in them, though we all shrugged and thought, "eh, it'll be fine" (maybe not everyone, but I didn't account for his absence nearly enough)

Now, I'm not putting all the blame there. Alleyne has taken a step back. Aluma hasn't been as aggressive (back issues and last game he was hit hardest by COVID from what I heard), Storm hasn't been as offensive as we thought he'd be and Mutts has disappeared lately after a couple great games early. No idea what's happened with Big Jon, but clearly he hasn't come along, while some of the younger guys have flashes, they don't get solid playing time right now (which as we've discussed is a little baffling).

Basically, no one has stepped up their game from last year, and we lost a key piece to the puzzle. If no one's going to fill that void, we're losing a lot more than we thought.
