No, ball pressure is effective against low-major players, not the system


None of our starting 5 were high major recruits. The way to beat ball pressure is to beat your defender one on one and punish the overextension.

Aluma, Pedulla, and to some extent Maddox are the only guys who seem to be able to do that right now. Alleyne and Mutts were excellent at it last year and they’ve done a complete 180.
