before boarding for a 120 day World Cruise that has been booked and paid since before the dreaded COVID. Since Australia/ NZ/ and China have been shut down the itinerary was changed drastically but still desirable. On the eve of embarkation we were informed of dramatic changes and given options. We decided to do first 18 day “leg” of trip down coast of Mexico/ Central America/ Panama Canal/ Bahamas/ to Miami…. See how things are going and decide to continue or go home.
Today we were in Acapulco and it was a pleasant 90 degrees and sunshine! Eat your hearts out! We went to see the cliff divers dive off of a…. Cliff. Later they let me try my hand at it and I attempted a 1& 1/3 back flip with a couple twists. After bouncing off the rocks a couple times I finally made it to the water. I would post a pic but the only ones were before and after done at the hospital and they kept all of them. Evidently they are quite proud of the stitches that they do. Fortunately they will slip a little tequila in your IV if you lube the skids with some $$$$. Rest of the day was great…. Onward!
OK, I kid. But I DO have a storied career of diving off of various cliffs, towers, bridges, etc. no arrests so far.
