Its really odd the bad rap that Cornelson has received...
In 6 seasons, he had 3 offenses in the top 40, a decent 52nd ranked offense, and he had 2 bad years outside the top 80. Beamer hit those high water marks barely as many times in 29 seasons!
By college football standards, Cornelson has a very solid track record. Given he had to work with a different starting QB practically every year, and average at best talent at skill positions, his results were actually impressive.
Fuente turned us into a Group of 5/FCS program in talent, coaching, and culture however.
