So much goes into champs meet season. You want to win ACCs and finish as high as possible in NCAAs. You have to balance how you handle rest and taper between those two, and approach can differ based on load, event, and individual athlete. It's nuts. Watching my own swimmers go through the traumatic experience twice a year over the years has been interesting.
