Not trolling but has Mike Jones had an influence on this team

I don't even know the specific Xs and Os contribution of an Assistant Coach. I assumed he was brought in for recruiting, talent evaluation and to groom him for a head coaching gig. But does he have an assignment that is measurable? Too soon to tell?
