If she waited until she graduated without going into the portal, she is not allowed to speak to opposing coaches until she graduates and then all the scholarship dollars are probably spoken for. That puts her on her own for grad school.

By putting her name in the portal, she was allowed to speak to those schools who may have the field of study that she wants.

My guess is that she now has a plan for next year and can concentrate on having a GREAT senior year for the Hokies!!!!

Just my guess, but regardless, I'm glad she still a Hokie!!!
