4 down lineman more of mistake than squib


Mahomes has to release the ball quickly. There is Zero chance of sacking him the last two plays as he has to release the ball with only 14 seconds left. So, you have 3 down lineman, maybe even 2, and drop 1 or 2 more in coverage to help with Kelsey. The decision to use 4 down lineman during BOTH plays before the field goal was more of a mistake than not squib kicking.
