A significant part of the difference between NFL and college game lengths


is half time. But the schools cherish the longer halftimes for bands and other “festivities”. And most fans who attend games value that time to get refreshments and relief.

Couch potatoes like me hate the long halftimes. And I’m not a fan of changes that just mean fewer plays per game.
