If you look at Jake Laravia's and Alondes Williams' production at their previous schools compared to Wake they are simply outperforming what anybody could have expected (likely including the Wake staff) by a huge amount.

It is very similar to Aluma, who falls in that same category based on his performance at Wofford.

Most transfers you can look at their previous production and have a sense of what you can expect from them. Everyone from Franklin and Gardner at UVA, Manek at UNC, Smith at GT, etc, fall into that category. Sometimes you get lucky. Forbes got lucky twice and it is making a huge difference in a mediocre conference.
