that is really the question that must be answered in college basketball in general. What should the results of the "one and done strategy" employed by the likes of K and Calipari really be?

Getting burger boys pretty much ensures a self- fulfilling prophecy of getting players to the NBA and I doubt many believe it has much, if anything, to do with the coaching and is much more about natural talent. The flip side, is it more expected that a naturally talented group should be expected to beat a reasonably talented group of upper classmen developed in the system? That is even before adding the more recent variable of the transfer portal/immediate eligibility. College basketball as a sport has been substantially damaged by a variety of factors, to the point, at least in my opinion, that there are a lot of uncertainties surrounding what constitutes reasonable expectations these days.
