I have trouble watching Virginia Tech baseball

I played semi-professional baseball, and the lack of fundamentals I see today are really bad. I just tuned in for a second in the 8th inning and saw the 3rd baseman today overthrow the first baseman. These errors will happen, but it appeared (without replay) that the 3rd baseman clutched and then realized he had to make a fast throw. Props to the right fielder for proactively backing up, but at the D1 level I would expect much more, as our summer league teams back in the 90's played more disciplined.

I should add that a few years ago when I would watch I was miffed at how many mental mistakes were made. The offense is impressive, but to win in baseball you need to play both sides of the ball.
