The area numbers are off. South County numbers are


really off. When my oldest daughter played..the 6-8 league had 21 teams (this year 6) the 9-10 had 6 A teams and 8 B teams ( this year 4 total). And this feeds both CS and HV. Lacrosse has put a hurt on softball for sure as well as soccer continues to pull kids. For the schools sake, I hope there is a lot of kids playing travel and not rec but with the 6-8 numbers so low for the 2nd year I don't believe that's the case. I've invested 20 + years coaching over here and hate to see the decline in the sport that has always been strong in this area.
