A lot of talk about being patient for relationships

While it is absolutely true that relationships win the long game and will ultimately get is to improve overall recruiting, I think it is also overblown.

1. Kids flip flop and choose based on OVs their final year. I don't think the coach being there the last three years makes a difference for all, but it will for some.

2. Pry and the rest of this staff have been building relationships at their last stop. Those relationships carry forward.

3. Most schools see a new coach bump in recruiting.

4. Fuente did fine early and recovered again by '22 class. The biggest issue he had was he didn't appreciate the BS in some of the Virginia hotspots and VA talent was down. Plan B exploded in his face. Bottom line though, even Fuente course corrected quickly and was probably slowed a bit more than normal by Covid restrictions.

Bottom line, I don't expect fireworks early. But we should not be dropping out of a top 40 class either.
