What if I told you it has been more or less the same way it is now...


...for a very long time - the biggest change isn't NIL, it's the transfer portal and the fact that some of these conversations are now taking place publicly.

I think there is a real crossover in people's minds with the transfer portal and NIL. I think the transfer rule was the correct decision but also was clear eyed about what it would mean to college sports in the short term. I think had NIL happened without the transfer portal there would be these anecdotal stories about it but people would be surprised at how little was actually changing in terms of where top prospects were going and things like that.
