I'm thrilled that VT won, but I'd much rather win the regular season. Of


course, I've always felt that winning the NCAA tournament was an overrated accomplishment. A good team that gets some breaks can win if the better teams catch a few unlucky breaks. Does that add excitement? Certainly. But a single elimination tournament is about the worst way to identify the best team. (Flipping a coin would be slightly worse.)
