We started by passing flying with the kids on long trips a couple of years ago for places that we hadn’t been. Within reason of course. The kids loved it as we got to be a bit touristy and see things we normally just fly over. This includes trips to the Keys (12 hours), upstate NY (about 13). May do the same for Texas next spring.
