Well he has avoided the first pitfall - he's built his own organization


from the ground up. That should help quite a few different factors. He's also got huge advantages that Fuente either didn't receive or didn't take/utilize; most significantly being more resources (money, staff, etc). He's also wisely cleaning house of players he doesn't want/believe in regardless (or maybe because of) near term results; that is something Fuente failed at. If those things don't help 'avoid' future perfect storms, then he doesn't have anyone but himself to blame.
