Which is why I don't understand staying the course when nothing has improved. In theory, the current coach has a strong background in the sport (believe she is a Stanford WLAX grad). Never hear anything about coaching styles or anything else, only see the losses pile up. You would think she would be pulling her hair out by now from the lack of success and thinking about a career change, so firing her may not be an issue after another winless ACC season. But hopefully Whit gave her some goals for the program a couple of years ago, which included moving out of the doormat club, so assuming those aren't achieved, this may be her last season, whether she wants it that way or not.

Next question is, where do you go to replace her? Many WLAX coaches like their current situation or their spouse also works for the school/or in the area, so getting a currently successful coach to relocate may not be as easy as one would think (money talks, but doubt we are ready to lay out big bucks for this position).

Guess we shall see what happens. It is also a good question for Whit or other Athletic Department leader at a Hokie Club function.
