Hoos really shouldn't be able to gain any ground based on today's events


After morning prelims...here is where we stand and how it would score should swimmers finish this way:

500 free...Tech has a 5th (25 points)
....UVA has a 6th (24 pts), 8th (22 pts), 19th (6 pts),23rd (2pts)
200IM ....Tech has a 1st (32 pts), 8th (22pts), 16th (11pts), 18th (7pts)
....UVA has a 12th (15 pts) and a 23rd (2 pts)
50 free .....Tech has a 24th (1pt)
UVA has a 15th (12 pts) and a 21st (4 pts)

So, we score 98 and they score 87 if finishes remain similar. There is also a relay tonight. They are seeded 2 spots higher; however, head to head in January we beat them so... I'm feeling pretty good they shouldn't be able to gain much ground today.

NC State as expected is tearing it up...loading tons of swimmers in the A and B finals.
