I can't figure Benny's out. I ate at their old location several times...


...and the food was decent, but I never thought it was as good as some other people seemed to think it was. I finally tried the new Benny's location a couple of months ago, and the food was absolutely bland. The BBQ was completely flavorless and lukewarm, the portions were tiny, and the food was overpriced. My parents and I all said we would never go back. Then, about a month ago, a friend wanted to meet me there for lunch, so I agreed. This time I ordered a burger, and it was fairly decent.

So, I don't know what the deal is. I hear plenty of people say they like Benny's. But, I probably won't go back anytime soon. It's a shame, because it's a local place and the owners seem like good folks. I want to like it...I just can't justify paying their prices for lousy food.
