It's a long one- but worth it. Lake Solitude near Teton (Jenny Lake)

The good news is you can start early- and if you make it there, spend your time, and get back to the lake, you can catch the boat across Jenny Lake which saves you an extra 2 miles on the hike.

While on the hike, you pass a great set of waterfalls (depending on what time you start you may have a large crowd queued up to take pictures) as well as some amazing views a little further up.

BE WARNED: all of Teton and Yellowstone is considered bear country, and they recommend that everybody take bear spray. That said- there are also moose in the area and moose can be more dangerous than bears. When I was hiking the Lake Solitude trail- I came across 2 moose, one I had been observing across the river, but the other I came around and a bend and it was laying down. We acknowledged each other, I backed up 20 yds, then hiked 20yds into the bush to give him his space.

TMO2 had some great advice as her husband used to work there. Hopefully she'll see your thread!
