Pro golf watch 7/7 - 7/10

With the cancellation of the Greenbrier, the PGA Tour is off this week. Heading into the Open Championship next week, JW sits just inside the playoff cut-off at 124, while BDJ has dropped down to 160. While he would still need to be passed by 3 people, BDJ's recent run has put him in territory of missing out on the Olympics. The cut-off for qualification is after this week, and with him not having a chance this week to improve that, his status will be dictated by how well others closing in on him play this week.

The Mackenzie Tour is back this week in Winnipeg for the 5th of 11 events this season. Scott Vincent finished T6 and Trevor Cone finished T60 two weeks ago, leaving SV in 6th place and TC in 42nd on the moneylist. Blake Redmond missed his 4th cut and it looks like that will put him too far down the list of the reorder to make the field in the future, or at least to make this week's field. Vincent and Cone both have AM tee times today.

Jurrian van der Vaart finished solo 2nd last week in Denmark, moving up to 11th on the ECT moneylist. He is in Slovakia this week and currently sits T9 after a 3-under first round.

Go Hokies!
