I'm glad your son is enjoying success and having fun playing as well. I hope your son ends up being a 5-star recruit. Sounds like you guys will do a good job helping him keep it all in perspective.

I have to disagree on one point - I don't think there are "can't miss" kids at 11-12 years old. I agree with you that there are kids that standout at this age - look like they have no ceiling. I just think it's way too early to tell at this age. But some kids don't get any better, some kids burn out, some kids stop growing, some kids get lost when the competition gets better as they get older. I agree with you, there are some kids that seem to be immune to this, but you are right the number is small.

Our son loves to play. I am amazed at how well he sees the floor and defends. He's been coached well and plays very smart. For an 11 year old, very happy with where he is as a player overall.

I'm not putting a recruiting star on him just yet though.
