It finally flipped the script for me (SPOILERS)
I hadn't decided whether Ford was an outdated old man, hanging on to his past glory, who may have a secret to hide about what happened to his former partner, or whether he was stark, raving evil and had his own agenda. The machinations of the board might have been for good, or might have been aimed solely at getting rid of Ford and whatever he was planning. At various times I suspected one angle or the other was true.
This episode made it clear that Ford is evil, given he will knock off humans in support of his goal. Not sure yet exactly what his goal is. It might not be evil in itself, i.e., downloaded consciousness into immortal robots, but it may have implications for what it is to be human.
My favorite moment was when Bernard was told about the door in the house and he said, "What door?" Chills, man.
