and that includes a lot of cars, like high end German cars in Nova area, when do you really get a chance to open 'er up? Unless you lived in Las Vegas or somewhere whee there are (were?) no speed limit signs on some of the highways.

You probably could do a cannonball run in the 70s, it's probably not quite as possible now, that is, you'd get stuck in traffic more than half the time. Yeah, I was kinda an old car guy myself, used to love the 308 (shown above) saw a few at the time, doesn't look all that grate in the picture.
