I also agry. It's Kosher to bash Berman here, but I was a longtime fan


starting in the 80's, it was the baseball nicknames, then it morphed into football, and I absolutely loved NFL Primetime and his use of nicknames and his usual shtick (rumblin' bumblin', etc).

Yes, he was not the best golf announcer on the British Open telecasts (few are....and no one compares to Peter Alliss) and the 'back back' got old when doing it for multiple players during the Home Run Derby, but those were once a year things.
