I doubt we wait until the end of June to essentially start our search. At the least, we would have done leg work on a few B-list candidates so if our A-lister coaching in the CWS declines, we're ready to move quickly.

But unless we're hiring a HC from a CWS team (way beyond unlikely), I don't think we're going to wait that long for an assistant.

But the point of my original post was that after we announce the parting of ways with Mason, who knows how long it could take. It could be quick. It could be a while. I wasn't necessarily limiting us to a month, though I can't imagine it taking MUCH longer than a month once a decision is announced. July 4 or thereabouts still gives us about a week after the CWS is over.
