I have watched them for many years, going back to

the 60's actually. While I am not an expert, it seems to me they cannot evaluate and develop talent. They do miss Zack, but he is not the reason they had 14 and 15 strike outs in back to back games last week. That means over half of outs were made without putting the bat on the ball. No one cuts down their swing with 2 strikes to make contact, and no one will bunt the ball against the shift when the third baseman is at the SS position, which would put runners on base and put pressure on the defense. It seems to me that every swing is for the fence, which I view as selfish. Home run or nothing. And throwing the bank at Chris Davis, wow. He is a pretty good defensive first baseman, but no where near worth $20 million a year. I would much rather have Nelson Cruz or Markakis, and for what they are paying Davis that may have been able to have afforded both. This is why I think there are problems with the front office. Just my opinion. Enjoy your posts Hokiepro, so tell me what you think.
