It was pretty exciting to see much of the meet. If you didn't know, it was streamed live for free by the ACC. The male anchor leg in the 4x400 was a freshman, Michael Davenport. He took third by about 3 inches in that race even though it was his 4th race of the evening. He got us a 2nd in the 100, a 5th in the 200 and anchored both relays to 3rd place. If he would have been slower by that 3 inches, we would have tied with UVa for the overall championship and would have lost the Commonwealth Clash.

Next year should see continued success by the men. We graduate 16 points from our team total while UVa loses 48 points and third place FSU loses 21 points. The women's team, however, loses a lot of points (Hanna Green scored 20 by herself and we lose 18 more in the javelin). Meanwhile, FSU returns virtually their whole team.

One last note. We had 19 men and 18 women score points for us. If any of them were missing we would not be sitting with 2 championships. They all deserve kudos for their great performances. We were not seeded to win either championship.
