Info requested re: changing from Spectrum to AT&T but retaining rr email.

Would like to hear from anyone who has made the jump from Spectrum to AT&T (and I do recognize what a smartass I've been here since day one)

but please spare me your hatred or disdain of either. This is hopefully just an innocent information exchange thread, and if successful, will in part fulfill the original purpose of message boards. TIA for your gracious responses.
_________

I've had roadrunner email via TimeWarner and now Spectrum since 1998 and it's as integral a part of my personal and business life as I can possibly imagine. I can blanket-email my hundreds of contacts if I have to switch email domains, but if that can be avoided, I'm all for it.

We're considering jumping to an all-AT&T life now that they have UVerse up and running in our neighborhood. We've already had AT&T for our cell phones for 12+ years and just upgraded from Windows phones to iP7pluses.

AT&T is offering - and can actually supply - much faster internet speeds by a significant factor and deliver the same phone and TV channel selection we currently have with Spectrum - all for $90 less a month than Spectrum charges.

AT&T says I can retain the rr email for a few bucks a month but I've researched several forums to arrive at "completely inconclusive" and "unverifiable".

Has anyone actually done this and kept rr? If you have, do share how.

In the immortal words of grill to chill, "Give a fellow Hokie some love."

Thanks!
