About 15 years ago my dad set up lab in his basement to digitize photos


He had over a thousand slides from the 50s/60s and 70s and lord knows how many printed pictures.

He put a digital camera on a tripod and projected the slides on a wall. Set the zoom and focus and did it. Same thing with the prints. Put them on a table with a camera on a tripod.

Quality was better than I expected and he ended up with a couple thousand images. Being retired is key to this working.
