Electronics peeps:... is there such a thing as a police scanner anymore?

One like the old Uniden Radio Shack ones that used to
pick up Land, Air, Sea, and several other bands all passively.

I'm not talking about a transmitter or H.A.M. radio or
any version of broadcasting.

Just a receiver. Not a handheld walkie-talkie one.
Tabletop like the older one below.

One that covers as many bands as possible including
Statie, County and local P.D. bands.

What would you buy if you wanted that in 2017 terms?
