Almost 100% certain it's this. I get calls on my cell a LOT

where the area code and first 3 digits of the phone number are the same as mine, and they're always sales calls.

And a couple of years ago, I had someone call me getting mad at me for calling him....I hadn't called him. Someone had spoofed my number, and that's likely what's happened to you.
