There is a little truth here

I really enjoyed watching my kids play, enjoy watching VT play, really enjoy watching WC. Champions League, EPL, top teams or finals in the MLS is good - but, the pattern here is have a rooting interest, or watch some of the best and it's not boring.

I enjoy NFL games where I have a rooting interest - two mid level teams? meh, boring. My favorite to watch is probably VT football and other college games in top 20 or that may affect VT. Two mid level PAC 12 teams? also boring, with the exception of highlights - most all highlights of most sports are good.

I don't watch Arena Football or any other minor league or semi-pro football either. Just make sure you compare apples to apples in terms of your rooting interest or quality of the game.
