some of these people were very young, but others were adults, that should have known enough to report it to someone. Their keeping quiet enabled Weinstein to keep going. Different than Penn State as not all were vulnerable children, but they could have shed light it, even with an "anonymous" tip that allowed a non-hollywood reporter to really start digging.
All the causes hollywood has adopted over the years, and no one had the stones to step in here?
It's a terrible thing that it happened, for sure, but at some point, I think these people bear some responsibility for keeping quiet. They're making movies and tv shows about harassment and rape, about the courageous women that come forward and their hardships that they face in trials. And no one would step up?
(not doubting their stories at all, but I think this is a big deal that I haven't seen discussed)
