So the Hokies have kept 75 out of 270 Top-10 VA Players In the Commonw...
...ealth during this span. That comes out to about 27.5%Knock off until 1998 until we started rolling like CC said and then it goes up to about 40%To me that shows a lot of things. First, the state of VA is very, very talented year in and year out. Sure there are years where we don’t have the depth to go 35+ legit D1 guys but you can count on the VA Top 10 being very good and the VA top 5 being DAMN GOOD. I know our geographic focus has changed under Coach Fu (and was even changing during the end of CFB reign) but I’m still a big believer in the “build a fence around the state” strategy. Man, if we could replicate that 10 year run of ‘98-‘08 averaging around 5 a year, mixed in with the NC guys I’d be pumped.
