For those who look, what the heck is in the NNE sky? It's been there

for weeks on end, and fixed. More than moderately bright and it seems, to me, to change between white, blue & red(certainly that is the atmosphere). For weeks I've been fixed on a far out landing plane, which refuses to come in. Help a Hokie out.
