I love Costa Rica, but I would only go to Guanacaste, fly into Liberia,


and go during the dry season, which is around now to Spring. Christmas is perfect. And if you want to rent a car, you better know how to drive standard, and get on it waaaay early - limited numbers. Speaking Spanish is also a plus, but not needed in the touristy hotels.

My wife and I seriously considered moving there.
