I admire that, but I wouldn't have done it.

I like Michael Vick, he's an interesting guy, got some extra wheels turning in his head and this is a good example of that, paying back debt because it's the right thing to do and really on a higher level that he wants to square things with himself (something like that)

And he didn't have to do it. He got a contract with the Eagles for $1M (honestly, I think the NFL teams drew straws to see who would take him to avoid a lawsuit) so there was no way he would be able to pay that debt back, court would decide 10 cents on the dollar, whatever. No one was predicting that the Eagles would bump him up to $10M contracts.

But then he just said he would pay everyone back and he did. I certainly would not have done that, bankruptcy is bankruptcy and a deal's a deal. the debt is wiped. Furthermore, he's dealing with a bunch of wolves in the first place, they got more than they deserved including that clown who owns the Falcons. (Karmic justice he sold his debt for, probably, pennies on the dollar)

But, he has a code that he adhered to, pretty impressive. He has money now, and from what I've read he understands that whole gig a lot better and has it managed better, he won't piss it away.

On top of that he's a surprisingly thoughtful guy, good luck on his broadcasting jobs etc. I think he'll do great.
