It amazes me how people can ignore the sound for so long.

I actually hear those chirps during FB live broadcasts, recorded podcasts, and periscope broadcasts. Some pretty smart and powerful people just let them things chirp away. Perhaps ignoring the chirp is the great equalizer.

One pretty well renowned motivational speaker had chirping in the background of his pretty popular podcast. I listened to the podcasts for a month, constant chirping. Each week, I thought for sure someone would tell him, but no. Finally, a couple weeks ago, I sent him a FB message letting him know his smoke detector was chirping. He said he had no idea and thanked me. The next podcast had no chirping. Either I actually revealed something to him, or my message was the final straw that made him actually change it. I sometimes wonder if the sound is higher than some people can hear. That could explain it.
