How in the world is a Chromebook 2 lbs heavier than a laptop?

Now when you kid goes to college, recommend investing in a decent computer. Personally I would want a mid-tower PC instead of a laptop, but that's just me... Laptops/notebooks are portable, but if I'm doing a lot of typing, I prefer a full size keyboard & monitor.
