Last Night, I Asked the Lounge for Job Advice
Today, I have an update.
If you recall, I reported that Tennesse[sic] had offered me its football head coaching position. The offer came sort of out-of-the-blue, but I decided to seriously consider it. I mean, since I retired early after 33 years teaching elementary school, I spend way too much time just hanging out on TSL and Facebook. This job would give me something to do for a couple of years.
After taking the advice given here so freely, I decided to accept this generous offer. However, my euphoria was to be short-lived. Soon after calling AD John Currie to inform him of my decision, Currie called me back to retract his IOU-saying that a group of big donors challenged my selection and insisted on retaining the services of Steve Spurrier.
So I'm out, and UT is now in hot pursuit of Steve "Visor Boy" Sputtier.
What should I do dear Lounge? After all, they did give me this IOU.
