What I've learned

(1) - Change takes time. - Fuente has clearly proven his offensive genius as a coach. The Hokies prowess to move the ball the first half of the season was some of the best ever for Tech. But with injuries and opponents having film on Tech, the rejuvenation of the offense has obviously slowed. The need for depth and experience is clear for this team to execute at the level Fuente intends.

(2) - Fuente was a brilliant hire. - 19-7 in two season. Beamer took over four years to win his 19th game in Blacksburg. Improvements across the board in recruiting, offense and win are a result of Fuente's ability as a coach. Fuente has taken the talent Tech had and coached it up to an additional 3-4 wins.

(3) - Bud remains one of the games top tacticians on defense. Currently Tech is 13th in the nation on defense. They're clearly talented. But Coach Foster's ability to scheme and coach is remarkable. Its not a reach to credit four of Tech's wins directly to Bud's coaching.
