The "harassment is always the perception of the victim"


is also a little scary.

I've seen women feel completely different when a different guy says the exact same thing.

A good looking, charming, wealthy guy says something slightly suggestive and the coy young woman plays hard to get, loving every minute of it.

A nerdy guy with poor social skills says the same thing - she ignores him or "lets him down easy" - he incorrectly perceives that as the same "playing hard to get" and pursues - she claims harassment..

That situation does not constitute harassment - it's the same game that's been played since the beginning of time - just have to find your place in it.

I'm not suggesting this is a majority or even a significant amount of the harassment complaints - but with what is now being called harassment it really makes if hard for the guy in the middle of the above situations.
