Lounge metaphysicists: When have you "sensed" an impending event?

You guys provided a lot of help with an earlier experience I had regarding seeing the same car twice in an impossibly short period of time. Still haven't figured that one out but I'm sure it has something to do with my recollection of the events.

Tuesday this week I experienced something altogether new to me: sensing or predicting a phone call.

When I have a lot of meetings spread throughout the day I normally leave my phone on silent and will often times forget to change it back. I had just received a phone call from my boss via my truck's bluetooth as I pulled into my driveway. We concluded the call and I set to work for that afternoon's home project, which involved standing on an extension ladder.

I got my tools and ladder out and climbed up to where the work was. Wouldn't you know it as soon as I got both hands occupied on top of the ladder, my pocket starts to vibrate. My phone has a pretty specific pattern for text vs phone calls so I waited. If it vibrated again that meant it was a call, and probably from my boss since I had just hung up with her, so I needed to pick up.

There goes my pocket, vibrating again in the proper cadence, telling me that it was indeed a phone call. I set all my stuff back in my tool belt and reached in my pocket to get my phone.

No phone in my pocket. It was totally empty.

But I had the very strong sense that I had in fact received a call. I was confused but knew I needed to find my phone and by now I was a little curious about what was going on. I climbed back off the ladder.

My phone was in the console of my truck. I had received a phone call, yes- in fact so recently that I received a voice mail while I was looking through my call history. The call was not from my boss FYI.

I am more than willing to explain this away. I suspect that I have lots of "sixth sense" moments that are not at all accurate and are never realized, but that it "hit" this time, one in a million, and sticks out in my brain because of that.

What instances have you all experienced that feeling of clairvoyance that was realized?
