I grew up in Rochester, NY. Victor is in the 'next county', but

is essentially a Rochester suburb.

Me, my wife and children were living in Connecticut, but we had been looking to get back to this area since my parents were aging, and hers are in Syracuse. When she had an opportunity drop in her lap for a new job, AND I was able to work remotely, it just made sense to move.

The snow can be a pain, but cost of living is a LOT less than CT, and we're used to the snow anyway.
